River Island Press Day

I was invited to attend River Island's press day this week and wanted to post some pictures of their new SS11 collection. There is a great mixture of seventies-inspired separates and printed jumpsuits, through to sixties-inspired Miu Miu-esque dresses and blouses.

They have managed to create an ecclectic mix of great separates and stand-out pieces that I cant wait to get my hands on! Wish the sun would come back quickly!!

Adam encapsulates all that The Exsoteric is about. Style is not about trend but how you carry yourself. I started snapping away and he was extremely friendly when I went to introduce myself, full of smiles and questions about the blog.

I followed this man for ten full minutes before I asked to take his photo. The handsome dog looked like he could be quite menacing at first, but he was the perfect model!

I was just about to walk into the Caravaggio exhibition when I stumbled on this man basked in light and half in shadow. Caravaggio could wait a couple of minutes more until I got the perfect shot!

A Stylish Weekend in Florence

So one lucky lady (that'd be me!) was whisked off to Florence for a long weekend! I LOVE the city - apart from the naturally stylish Italians, the art and architecture makes me feel like I've been transported to a totally different era.

Apart from visiting the Duomo, browsing Via Turnabuoni and Ponte Vecchio, we feasted on truffles all weekend. Truffles on pasta, truffles on Florentine steak - washed down with some local Italian red wine - perfect!

We also stayed in possibly one of the most romantic hotels I've ever visited. Il Salvatino had the most fantastic views of the city, beautiful food and exquisite service.

I'll be posting pictures of some people that caught my eye over the weekend - Italian style of course!

Kate Moss for Topshop, Up Close and Personal

Topshop and Kate Moss fans descended to the Holy Grail of High Street to see the iconic model launch her final collection for the store. New beaded flapper style dresses and playsuits stood out in the collection, as well as some well-known classics from her older collection such as the daisy tea dress and poppy dress.
